Teams battling for the top seed in the NFC playoffs

The top seed in the NFC playoffs is still up for grabs entering Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season.

#3 - Arizona Cardinals (10-3)

The Arizona Cardinals lost sole possession of first place in the NFC when they were defeated by the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football this week. They are in a three-way tie for the top spot in the conference in terms of record, but if the season ended today, they would be the third seed in the NFC playoffs. On the positive side, they are undefeated on the road this season, so earning home-field advantage might not be important for them in the playoffs.

#2 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-3)

Just over a month ago, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in a bit of a slump, having lost two consecutive games. Since then they have been red hot, winning four consecutive games and scoring 30 or more points in all four of those games. They are the highest scoring team this season and Tom Brady is the clear favorite to win the 2021 NFL MVP award.

#1 - Green Bay Packers (10-3)

If the 2021 NFL season ended today, the Green Bay Packers would be the top seed in the NFC playoffs. That means the road to the Super Bowl will go through Lambeau Field. That would be an enormous advantage for the Packers in the playoffs, who are undefeated at home this season but only hold a 4-3 record when playing on the road.
