Elite college QBs who couldn't find the same success in the NFL
Here are five superstar college quarterbacks who have failed in the NFL.
#3 - Johnny Manziel

Johnny Manziel, or Johnny Football, was an absolute superstar at Texas A&M with his sensational style of play and charismatic attitude. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2012 and finished in the top five in Heisman voting the following year.
He was selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, but his career went downhill from there.
He was constantly a distraction off the field and his lackluster play didn't make up for it. He started just eight games in his career, recording a 2-6 record while throwing seven interceptions.
#4 - Ryan Leaf
Ryan Leaf is widely considered one of the biggest NFL Draft busts of all time. He was the second overall pick behind Peyton Manning, but many believed at the time he should have been the first pick.
He recorded a 4-17 record as a starting quarterback in the NFL, while throwing just 14 touchdowns and a massive 36 interceptions. It's safe to say now that Manning was the better pick.
#5 - Kellen Moore
Kellen Moore put together an incredible career at Boise State while helping transform them into a big-time college football program. He recorded the most wins by a quarterback in college football history, winning 50 of his 53 career starts.
He finished in the top ten in Heiman voting for three consecutive seasons while throwing a whopping 142 touchdowns and just 28 interceptions.
However, his professional career as a quarterback culminated with him being basically irrelevant.
He appeared in just three games for the Dallas Cowboys, starting two of them while throwing four touchdowns and six interceptions. He now serves as the Cowboys' offensive coordinator.
