Dak Prescott or Jared Goff: Who is the better pick?

With 12.3 points against the Detroit Lions, Dak Prescott fell short of expectations the previous week. Unfortunately for him, two Lions tackles occurred within the 10-yard line and one of his passes was dropped in the end zone (because of DPI). Nevertheless, it would be best if you stuck with him against a Chicago Bears squad that has given up 21+ scores to two QBs in their last four matches.

If you're trying to decide between Dak Prescott and Jared Goff for your fantasy team right now, Prescott might be the better choice.

Why Dak Prescott is a better pick than Jared Goff

Jared Goff, the starting quarterback for the Detroit Lions (who unfortunately have the worst record in the NFL), has had a difficult month. However, he believes he can change the situation. Goff had 11 TD passes to just three interceptions during the first four matches of the season. However, the franchise has been beaten 53-6 over the past two games, and he has turned the ball over six times without scoring a TD.

The Detroit Lions have endured a bad run and they now have the worst defense in the league. Even with their top-10 offense they are 1-5. Goff isn't necessarily the group's biggest issue right now, but he isn't the answer.

Prescott didn't have many tasks to complete in his first appearance back. If Dallas removes the training wheels this week, Prescott could have a chance to record a strong stat line.

Chicago are second when coming up against short passing, and they rank 12th in pass defense DVOA, but there are holes in their defensive line. The Bears have the ninth-highest success percentage per dropback and rank 25th against deep balls. Prescott should have time in the pocket against a defense that ranks 32nd in blitz rate and 18th in pressure rate. If Dallas lets Prescott loose this week, he's a QB1 with huge upside.

Will Dak Prescott Start in Week 8?

In a tie against the Chicago Bears in Week 8, quarterback Dak Prescott is expected to get back on track as a fantasy QB1. In his Week 7 comeback, Prescott appeared healthy and strong. Still, he wasn't allowed to go loose and rack up stats.

Prescott may need to throw the ball more frequently because Ezekiel Elliott will probably miss the game. So Prescott ought to have plenty of time to throw, and he might have his first QB1 performance.
