Dalton Schultz landing spots: Top 3 NFL teams who can steal Dak Prescott's main weapon

The Dallas Cowboys could very well lose Dalton Schultz to another team. With Hayden Hurst off the market, Schultz (who was arguably a better tight end than Hurst anyway) becomes the best option there with ease. Tight end-needy teams will likely be lining up for his services.

Schultz really came into his own as a viable pass catcher for Dak Prescott last season and could be a reliable target for any quarterback. There are plenty of teams in need of that, but which ones could lure him away?

#3) Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have spent a ton of money this offseason building up their roster around Justin Fields. What better way to cap it off than by signing Dalton Schultz? Ryan Poles has proven to be a GM to reckon with and he's having a fantastic offseason.

Cole Kmet is a solid tight end, but having Schultz, who is a far more dynamic pass catcher, would be an excellent addition. Schultz will be costly, but the Bears have money and a real need to help Fields as much as they can.

While they may want to try and build up the offensive line, it may be cheaper to do so in the NFL draft. This leaves them the money to spend in free agency, which they've been doing. They could keep it going with a Schultz signing.

#2) Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders just shipped Darren Waller to the New York Giants. His backup, Foster Moreau, is a fine tight end, but he's not better than Dalton Schultz. The former Dallas Cowboys star is a more reliable option.

With Jimmy Garoppolo now in town, it might be wise to surround him with as much help as possible. He and George Kittle played well together in San Francisco, so adding a dynamic tight end is probably a wise move for Las Vegas.

There also aren't many better options out there than Schultz (whether in free agency or via the NFL draft), so the Raiders should be keeping tabs on the tight end.

#1) Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals just watched tight end Hayden Hurst sign with the Carolina Panthers. They could replace him with Dalton Schultz and not miss much of a beat. Schultz is a great weapon and the Bengals have proven that they can win when they give Joe Burrow people to throw to.

Burrow's eventual extension might put a damper on their ability to pay players, so they might want to consider going for it this offseason. They've come up just short two years in a row, so adding Schultz might be a wise idea.
