Deion Sanders was recently named the new head football coach at the University of Colorado and he is now looking to rebuild the struggling program.

One of the key aspects for Sanders to turn around Colorado's football program is a strong coaching staff. Should Sanders be in the market for new coaches, one NFL Hall of Famer will gladly come aboard.

Warren Sapp said on The Rich Eisen Show that he would like to be a part of Sanders' coaching staff in Colorado.

"Hey man, I'm going to get my degree and ask for a job. I promise you that. I need to get a degree to coach in college. I left the University of Miami and never looked back. I need to go back and get a couple of classes. ... What do they call it? General studies?"

The Hall of Fame defensive tackle played 13 seasons in the NFL, nine with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and four with the Oakland Raiders. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, and recipient of the Defensive Player of the Year award in the course of his 13 seasons.

Warren Sapp also had 96.5 sacks and 19 forced fumbles in his career. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013. The question is, should Sanders, a Hall of Famer in his own right, consider hiring Sapp for his coaching staff?

How much will Deion Sanders earn as HC of Colorado Buffaloes?

Deion Sanders signed a five-year, $29.5 million deal with the University of Colorado, which is a major increase from his salary with Jackson State.

The Hall of Famer had a four-year, $1.2 million deal at Jackson State as their head coach. Sanders will be making $5.9 million a season at Colorado.

He is projected to earn $5.5 million in his first year. The earnings will increase by $200,000 every year.

Sanders' predecessor at Colorado, Karl Dorrell, made $3.6 million in his two seasons.

Sanders' deal at Colorado makes him one of the highest-paid coaches in college football. Per the Denver Post, he will owe Colorado $15 million should he leave the team after one season, $10 million after season two, $8 million after the third season, and $5 million following either of the final two years of the contract.

Overall, we'll see how Deion Sanders fares in his first season with Colorado in the 2023 -24 college football campaign.
