The NFC West is shaping up to be a tight race with two teams on two wins and two teams on five wins. As things stand, the San Francisco 49ers (5-6) are at the bottom of the division after a 38-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The Niners didn't have the services of Brock Purdy for that game given his shoulder injury.
There was cautious optimism around Purdy's injury heading into a very crucial Week 13 showdown against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. However, multiple reports outlined how Purdy didn't suffer any setbacks this week. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on X that Purdy is expected to start in the game against the Bills.

Is Brock Purdy playing tonight vs Buffalo Bills?
All signs point towards Purdy making his return from the one-game absence that kept him out of Week 12's beating against Green Bay. Purdy's return could not have come at a better time for 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan.
A number of fans raised the question of whether Shanahan's job should be secure if he fails to take this team to the playoffs. Entering the Sunday Night Football showdown against Buffalo under snowy conditions, Sportskeeda's algorithm puts the Niners' playoff chances at a meager 17.22%.
