“Just retire” - NFL fans fed up with Tom Brady after fresh report indicating retirement

Tom Brady is currently weighing his options for the future after a long and bruising campaign. The legendary quarterback has several options available to him, including becoming a FOX commentator, rejoining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or playing elsewhere.

According to NFL media via Pro Football Talk, multiple teammates have gotten the sense that whatever the quarterback chooses, it won't be Tampa Bay.

In response, fans took the opportunity to bash the quarterback or otherwise pull any lever available to vent their frustration. Here's some of what has been said:

This comes after a disappointing campaign for Tampa Bay. At 45 years old, Brady doesn't have time for a rebuild, so is looking for a contender. Looking at the 2022 campaign, it doesn't feel like the Buccaneers will be a contender next season.

The former quarterback of the New England Patriots ended the 2022-2023 season on a downward note. After back-to-back 40+ touchdown seasons, the quarterback failed to get out of the 20s this year. It was the fewest number of touchdowns thrown by the quarterback since his final season in New England.

It was also the fewest number of wins of the quarterback's career in seasons in which he played at least three games. 2022 was also the first losing season of his career. Fans may argue that Brady sat for the latter part of the final game of the season, but the loss still counts on his resume.

Looking ahead, Tom Brady no longer has the element of surprise on his side. Last year, when he announced his retirement via social media, NFL fans were caught off guard.

Brady ended his final press conference of the 2022 season with a thank you message while standing at the podium. Brady also has his next career lined up as well. Over the course of what turned out to be a whilwind offseason, Brady signed a ten-year commitment with FOX to call games for the network over the ten seasons following his retirement.

Brady will draw interest from several franchises if he decides to play on. Many believe that the Las Vegas Raiders could be a quality landing spot, as Brady would be reunited with his former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

With Davante Adams and Darren Waller in the squad in addition to Hunter Renfrow, the making of a strong offense is there. Will Tom Brady stay with the Bucs, sign with another side or call it quits altogether? The answer will be revealed in the coming months.
