Kirk Cousins is the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL. Cousins was selected by the Washington Commanders in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Since being drafted, Cousins has been a part of two successful rebuilds, first in Washington and then in Minnesota. His talents have earned him a lot of plaudits and, most notably, a few extra zeroes in his bank account.

The 2022 NFL season was Cousins' eleventh season in the NFL, with the veteran having played 136 games thus far. Heading into his eleventh campaign, the Minnesota Vikings extended his contract through the 2023 season to the tune of a one-year, $35 million contract.

This contract ranks as the 13th highest among quarterbacks in average annual value. Starting the 2022 season as one among the top 10 highest paid quarterbacks, Kirk Cousins slipped to 13th position due to monstrous contracts for Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson.

In the 2022 season, Cousins earned a base salary of $5,000,000, a $25,000,000 signing bonus and a roster bonus of $10,000,000.

Cousins' $200+ million total career earnings make you sit back and ponder. This career total makes Kirk Cousins the twelfth-highest salary earner in the league's history.
