Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward/center, put up a dominant performance against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night. The Lakers superstar put up 37 points and nabbed 18 rebounds while leading Los Angeles to a 116-103 victory over Brooklyn. The win ended a five-game losing streak. His effort against the Nets could be attributed to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The eight-time NBA All-Star noted the quarterback's cheerful celebration after he connected with wide receiver Allen Lazard on a 36-yard pass. That pass set up the Packers' 38-yard game-winning field goal by kicker Mason Crosby to defeat the Cowboys at Lambeau Field. Davis watched the game before taking to the court against the Nets.

For the Packers, that win also snapped a five-game losing streak and gave them their fourth win of the season. Rodgers threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns, while Lazard had three receptions for 45 yards in the victory.

Is Anthony Davis a Packers fan?

Anthony Davis is indeed a huge Green Bay Packers fan. The three-time NBA block champion commented that watching the Green Bay game helped him face the Nets and dominate.

Davis said:

"Got me some motivation before the game. So I was trying to dominate, be dominant knowing that we had to get this win, knowing that a lot of guys, especially with Bron out, a lot of guys lean on me to try to get the job done."

The 29-year-old is from Chicago. Back in January 2020, he explained why he's a fan of the Packers, and not the Chicago Bears.

Davis said:

"I was never a football guy, and then when I got to the NBA, guys were like, 'You've got to have a team.' I knew some guys from the Packers and just became a fan. I get a lot of hate and stuff from it, but I don't really care. It's football. It's not my fault that the [Chicago] Bears aren't playing well."

Currently, his Packers have a better record than the Bears as Chicago sits with a 3 - 6 record and is at the bottom of the NFC North. As Davis stands at six-foot-10, Aaron Rodgers could use the NBA superstar as a target. Let's see if Anthony Davis can get more motivation from Aaron Rodgers this season for another big game on the court.
