The New York Jets squared off against the Minnesota Vikings in the first NFL London game of the season on Sunday. The Week 5 contest got underway at 9:30 a.m. EDT from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the English capital.
The Vikings won the coin toss and chose to defer. The weather conditions at kickoff were mostly cloudy with temperatures hovering around 59°F.
Sam Darnold started as the Vikings quarterback, while veteran signal-caller Aaron Rodgers led the offense for the Jets.

The Vikings opened the scoring in the first quarter when Will Reichard made a 54-yard field goal. Minnesota then extended its lead when Rodgers threw a pick-six disaster and linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel popped up to take it back 63 yards for an interception return touchdown. Reichard converted the extra point kick.
Rodgers had a torrid start and threw two interceptions in the first quarter as the Vikings led 10-0.
Minnesota pulled away even further when C.J. Ham rushed for a 2-yard touchdown with just under four minutes remaining in the half. Reichard converted the extra point.
The Jets finally got on the scoresheet when Allen Lazard caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers with 36 seconds remaining in the second quarter. Greg Zuerlein converted the extra point, but it was Minnesota who led 17-7 at halftime.
Both teams struggled for rhythm in their offense in the third quarter. Zuerlein made a 32-yard field goal to cut Minnesota's lead to seven points heading into the final quarter.
The Vikings regained their 10-point lead when Reichard made a 53-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. However, New York came close to threatening a comeback when Garrett Wilson caught a 1-yard TD pass from Rodgers with 6:04 remaining in the game.
Reichard made a 41-yard field goal for the Vikings with just over 3 minutes remaining. The Jets were close to making a comeback win on their final drive, but the game ended in a 23-17 win for the Vikings.
Minnesota continued its unbeaten streak to move 5-0 and the team has a BYE next week. Meanwhile, the Jets slumped to a losing 2-3 record after Week 5.
