NFL analyst Chris Broussard believes the San Francisco 49ers should pursue a move for Tom Brady in free agency.

Multiple teams will be eager to sign Brady in free agency if he leaves the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which he is widely expected to do.

The 49ers' quarterback room consists of Brock Purdy, Trey Lance, and Jimmy Garoppolo, but Garoppolo is expected to leave. With Lance's development stalled due to repeated injuries and question marks over whether Purdy can replicate his heroics from this season, some believe the 49ers should pursue Brady in order to maximize their chances of winning the Super Bowl.

On First Things First, Broussard highlighted the reasons why the 49ers should pursue a move for the former New England Patriots quarterback.

"I think they should go after (Brady) because Kyle Shanahan, for all his you know, accolades that he gets, needs a Super Bowl. This team is built to win now. It's not like 'oh, we got Trey for a while, we got Brock for a while.'"

Broussard added:

"George Kittle has been out for significant parts of a season, Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, Nick Bosa, these dudes need to win now. I bet you if Brady went to the Niners, they will be the favorites in the NFC … One-year thing, go get him, I think."

Injuries have plagued the 49ers for many years, but the situation got out of hand this season. They lost four quarterbacks over the course of the campaign and were without a fully functional signal caller for most of the NFC Championship game.

Star players on the 49ers are becoming older, and they must seize their opportunity to win the Super Bowl before it's too late.

Tom Brady's biggest asset is his availability

Throughout his career, Tom Brady has been a pretty healthy player and hasn't suffered many freak injuries. The 49ers offense is stacked with talent, and a player like Brady would be an ideal fit.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has shown that he can remain healthy despite being 45 years old, and he can certainly do wonders for the 49ers.

Moreover, Brady was born and raised in San Francisco and grew up a 49ers fan, which is why he would love to win a Super Bowl for them. It's now up to Kyle Shanahan to pull the trigger and try and get the veteran quarterback to the Bay Area.
