Due to an Achilles injury sustained in Week 1, Aaron Rodgers is likely to miss the rest of the season. In their first game without Rodgers, the New York Jets lost 30-10 against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys' defense had a dominant outing against the Jets and made life extremely tough for Zach Wilson. Micah Parsons was the star of the game, and recently received high praise from Rodgers.

Here's what he said about Micah Parsons on the Pat McAfee Show:

"He's just such a dynamic guy in a short space. He's a special special player. We were fortunate last year. We played him, you know, the entire plan was stopping him, and think we frustrate him a little bit.
"I'm sure the entire plan was stopping him again last week and he made a lot of plays. He ran out, he made a fumble, fumble recovery. He's a different type of player."

Micah Parsons is an early frontrunner to win the Defensive Player of the Year award. such has been his dominance this season. Moreover, with Trevon Diggs out for the season, the Cowboys star could emerge as an MVP candidate as well if the team continues to win.

As for the Jets, without Aaron Rodgers' their chances of reaching the playoffs have diminished. If Zach Wilson continues to struggle, the franchise might bring in another quarterback to save their season.

Aaron Rodgers hasn't ruled out a return this season

While an Achilles injury typically keeps a player out for the rest of the season, Rodgers hasn't ruled out returning to play for the New York Jets this season.

Rodgers on the Pat McAfee Show said that he intends to make a remarkable recovery and could play in the playoffs if the Jets make it. Although he is unlikely to be ready for the postseason, Rodgers cannot be counted out.

He has already studied unique ways that help in the body's recovery, and maybe his unconventional methods might result in success. Regardless of that, due to the injury, Aaron Rodgers will not retire and will be playing for the Jets next season.
