Baker Mayfield's wife Emily cheekily calls out Bucs HC's comments about their daughter Kova

Baker Mayfield is impressing everyone with his on-field persona. The QB has led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory for two straight games, instilling hope for a deep NFL playoff run among fans.

However, according to Bucs head coach Todd Bowles, the only thing that can calm Mayfield down while on the field is his daughter Kova, who was born back in April.

Mayfield's wife, Emily, wasn't happy with the head coach's statement.

"The only person that can calm Baker down is his newborn," Bowles said in his statement.

Emily, reacting to the same, added:

"Oh, I'm chopped liver?"

Clearly joking about the situation, Emily followed up with adorable clips of daughter Kova Jade. Wearing a purple onesie, the newborn baby was smiling at her mother filming her.

Mayfield's family has been a constant support for the QB throughout the years. Of course, Kova is the most recent addition to the QB's immediate family.

Emily has been updating fans for weeks, with Kova accompanying her to the training camp, preseason game, and the season opener vs the Washington Commanders.

Before Tampa Bay's Week 2 win against the Detroit Lions, Emily hyped the Bucs' QB, cheering on the team at the same time.

Of course, the star of the story was Kova Jade, dressed in Bucs gear as she smiled in her father's arms. In fact, Emily and Baker Mayfield also dubbed Kova their lucky charm for their Week 1 win.

With the 2024 NFL season underway, one can only expect more such adorable moments from the Mayfield family.
