Brett Favre
Favre's lawyer declared that the lawsuit against McAfee and Sharpe will be an easy victory for the former NFL quarterback.

Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre's lawsuit against Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe for defamation was officially filed a few weeks ago. His lawyer Eric Herschmann, meanwhile, continues to talk about the case to the media.

In an interview with the Daily Wire through the Daily Mail, Herschmann boasted his confidence about the case. He even went as far as to say that Favre's case against them was a 'slam dunk' win.

Favre's lawyer said that while Sharpe hasn't spoken publicly about the lawsuit, he believes that McAfee speaking about the case will work against him.

The latter has spoken about the lawsuit several times on 'The Pat McAfee Show', and even stated that he hasn't hired legal representation. McAfee also believes that he did nothing wrong.

“We think it’s a slam dunk,”-Eric Herschmann

Brett Favre filed a defamation lawsuit against Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe and claimed that the two hosts made defamatory comments about him. These comments were in regards to the Mississippi Welfare scandal.

While Favre was never charged with any wrongdoing, his alleged participation in the scandal made headlines. The former quarterback has continued to say that he is innocent and is now suing for millions.

Recently, the former Indianapolis Colts punter recently took to Twitter to speak about what the future holds. He said that he is unsure if he will continue to work with WWE after rumors of a possible sale started circulating.

McAfee said that he wasn't sure if he wanted to work and make money with or for someone else besides Vince McMahon. The former NFL punter once got to face McMahon in the ring as part of SmackDown.

"Baby girl on the way… what’s that mean for my future with WWE? I LOVE it but, they’re allegedly gonna be sold. Who’s buying them? Do I want to work/make money for those people?"

He made his first appearance with WWE in 2018 and even began hosting SmackDown in 2021. While his schedule with ESPN's College Gameday has affected his time with WWE, the podcast host has continued to make guest appearances at several events, including the Royal Rumble.
