Tom Brady could be staring down the home stretch of playing over the next couple of weeks. With the season potentially winding down, pundits are starting to look to the future of the quarterback.

On The Herd with Colin Cowherd, NFL analyst Colin Cowherd predicted that the quarterback will leave one warm-weather state for another next season.

He said:

"I think one of the reasons he moved to Florida when he was a Patriot was that Tom [liked] warm weather. His wife had great influence, it is a more international city than Boston. And now he's divorced. What's your loyalty to Florida? Tom's never felt like a Florida guy to me."

He continued, explaining the quarterback's ties to California:

"He's a northern California kid, and I think he acclimated to the northeast, but he doesn't even feel like a northeast guy... He's not loyal. He's in northern California. That's where his family is. His favorite team is the Niners. He feels very California to me..."

Lastly, he explained that the San Francisco 49ers could be the next team for Brady, thanks to Jimmy Garoppolo:

"One of the things I think is possible is that if San Francisco, with that roster, loses in the playoffs like to a [lesser team] and they feel they're a better team and Garoppolo doesn't play well. And Shanahan's like, 'I don't trust Trey Lance, I'm moving off Garoppolo.' And they would go get Brady."

The quarterback hasn't only been connected to the San Francisco 49ers. The Las Vegas Raiders were also mentioned by analysts, as well as a potential return to New England. In the end, a plethora of factors are at play as to where the quarterback could end up.

Throughout 2022, the quarterback has thought about his future outside of football. Earlier this year, he retired for six weeks before returning to the game. Then, in August, the quarterback took 11 days off for personal reasons. Later in the regular season, Brady took a trip to watch former Patriots owner Robert Kraft get married.

He's also signed a deal with FOX to call games for the network for 10 years following his retirement. In other words, the quarterback has plenty of options lining up. Will he choose to do something other than throw a football in 2022?
