Aaron Rodgers finally broke his silence regarding his NFL future. After a long-standing stalemate, he agreed to a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 4x NFL MVP is gearing up to lead the team as their starting quarterback this upcoming season.
However, some experts have expressed doubts over Aaron Rodgers' ability to lead the Steelers to glory. This is because of his disappointing two-season stint with the Jets, where he missed an entire season due to an ACL injury. Former Steelers star Joe Haden shared some advice with the 4x NFL MVP ahead of his Steel City debut.
On Thursday, the retired 3x Pro Bowler appeared on the 'Up & Adams' show. Haden played for the Steelers from 2017 to 2021 before retiring in September 2022. He shared his thoughts on Aaron Rodgers playing for the Steelers.

"I think at the end of the day, him playing for the Steelers, like they have a really good organization," Haden said. "He doesn't have to do too crazy. Like, don't mess it up. Like don't be out there messing things up, be a good leader... make the right pass, don't be turning the ball over. We have a great defense at Pittsburgh. So like, don't mess it up."

Apart from Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers also drafted ex-Ohio State star Will Howard in this year's draft. However, it looks like the 2024 national champion will be spending his debut campaign learning the game from someone like the 4x NFL MVP.
Aaron Rodgers will be coached at the Steelers by his former teammate
In February 2024, the Steelers brought in Tom Arth as their new quarterbacks coach. Arth has experience playing alongside Rodgers when he was also a quarterback for the Packers in 2006. However, unlike his former teammate, Arth spent the majority of his playing career in the Canadian Football League.
Now, Tom Arth will reunite with Rodgers while serving as his coach instead of being a teammate. During an interview on Wednesday, he opened up about his excitement for this opportunity and what it means to him.
"I certainly think it's helpful for me for sure, just having a history with Aaron," Arth said when questioned about his thoughts on training Rodgers. "I was very excited to see him... He's here in Pittsburgh and I have a chance to work with him on a daily basis- it's really a special opportunity for me, for a lot of different reasons, personal and just the growth it will provide me as a coach."
"Being able to learn from him is going to be very valuable for my development."
Mike Tomlin has fallen short of competing in the Super Bowl since their loss to the Packers during Super Bowl XLV. He will hope that Aaron Rodgers' addition to the team will help break this losing streak in the playoffs and finally help them win their first Lombardi Trophy since 2008.
