Former Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Gardner Minshew has landed with the Indianapolis Colts. According to Tom Pelissero, Minshew has agreed to a one-year deal with the Colts.
Minshew hit free agency for the first time in his career and will make a return to the AFC South.
Minshew spent last season with the Philadelphia Eagles, serving as Jalen Hurts' backup. Minshew started two games for the Eagles down the stretch towards the end of the season, finishing 0-2 but throwing for 663 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.

Gardner Minshew's contract with the Indianapolis Colts
Gardner Minshew's contract with the Indianapolis Colts will be a one-year, $3.5 million contract with more in incentives.
Minshew's 2023 Colts salary includes a $1.75M signing bonus and a $1.75M base salary with up to $2M in incentives.
In four NFL seasons, Minshew has earned $5.1 million.
Minshew will now be on his third team. He began his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being drafted in the sixth round in 2019.
After Nick Foles suffered an injury to his clavicle for the Jagaurs in Week One of the 2019 season, Minshew was named the starter and had an unexpectedly decent season.
He went 6-6 as the Jaguars starter, throwing for 3,271 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions.
Gardner Minshew went 1-7 the following season and was then traded to the Eagles in 2021. He spent the last two seasons with Philadelphia and will now be headed to Indianapolis.

Minshew was signed Wednesday to likely serve as the Indianapolis Colts' quarterback for the season.
The Colts hold the fourth pick in the NFL draft and are one of many teams expected to select a quarterback in the first-round.
Owner Jim Irsay has said that he likes the Alabama guy, referring to Bryce Young, hinting that they may trade up.
The only problem is that the Carolina Panthers jumped from pick nine to pick one in a trade with the Chicago Bears, with the assumption of taking a quarterback. The Houston Texans select No. 2 and will be almost guaranteed to select a quarterback.
At pick four, the Colts may lose out on some of their top options at quarterbacks, but can still get a quality young franchise quarterback. A trade up in the draft is not out of the picture for Indianapolis.
