"Thank you for your strong witness for Christ @charliekirk11. Thank you for pursuing trust and leading your family as a husband and father. Eternal rest grant upon them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."

On Wednesday, Charlie Kirk visited the Utah Valley University as part of 'The American Comeback Tour'. It was organized by Turning Point USA, a right-wing political organization he co-founded.
Unfortunately, while addressing the students from his tent, Kirk was shot in the neck by an unknown assailant, who the police have yet to capture. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Utah Valley University President Astrid S. Tuminez shared his thoughts regarding the tragic incident and expressed condolences to Kirk's family and close friends. Kirk is survived by his wife and two young children.
"We express our sincere condolences to the Kirk family," Tuminez said as per NBC News. "We grieve with our students, faculty, and staff who bore witness to this unspeakable tragedy.
"He was invited by the student group Turning Point USA to speak on our campus. We firmly believe that UVU is a place to share ideas and to debate openly and respectfully. Any attempts to infringe on those rights has no place here. We do not condone any form of violence at UVU and seek to make our campus a safe place for all."
Retired two-time SB champ calls out people for "celebrating" Charlie Kirk's death
Being a right-wing political activist, Charlie Kirk had many critics who didn't agree with his ideologies. However, according to retired two-time Super Bowl champion Torrey Smith, it doesn't give people the right to ridicule his tragic death.
According to a tweet shared by ML Football, the ex-Ravens wide receiver urged people to be more sensitive about Kirk's death.
"Celebrating the death of someone you don't share the same beliefs as is wild. Seeing it play out in real time is disgusting."
Smith wasn't the only NFL player to react to Kirk's death. New York Giants rookie Jaxson Dart also expressed his condolences and shared a heartfelt message, demanding the end of political violence.
