"He's got this strange knack for popping up in these bizarre controversies" - Tom Brady's teammate's latest shenanigan baffles Mike Florio

After Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' shocking 21-3 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, there was a moment that was recorded and went viral.

Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans was called by one of the members of the officiating crew. Evans stopped and was handed a pen and a piece of paper and he proceeded to write something down.

The video surged across social media platforms, with many believing that the wide receiver was signing autographs for the referees, something that is strictly prohibited.

The NFL investigated and found out that Evans was actually just jotting down his phone number so that the referee could give it to a golf pro that the wide receiver was interested in working with.

While this appears to be just a case of Evans wanting to work on his golf game, it's just another situation surrounding the wide receiver.

Mike Florio said on the Pro Football Talk that wide receiver Mike Evans keeps finding himself in strange situations.

He mentioned last year's game when Tom Brady threw his historic 600th touchdown pass. Evans, who caught the touchdown, took the football and threw it in the stands to an excited Buccaneers fan. The fan ended up getting quite the loot in return for the football.

Florio then spoke about Evans' fight with Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore in Week 2 that saw them both get ejected and Evans being suspended the following week.

"I know we got to take a break, but isn't it weird for as mild mannered, as friendly, as great of a guy as Mike Evans is? He's got this strange knack. For popping up in these bizarre controversies. It was exactly a year ago that it was Evans that threw the Tom Brady 600th football into the stands, and they had to go bribe the guy to give the ball back. And there was this big to do and Mike Evans is right in the middle of it.

He then spoke of the above-mentioned situation with Lattimore.

"And then every once in a while, you know, never gets into an issue with anyone but blows a gasket with Marshon Lattimore. And now this thing, it's like of all the receivers in the NFL, the most unassuming, quietest, friendliest, mild mannered guy gets sucked into all these controversies."

Can Tom Brady and the Bucs turn things around vs. Ravens?

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take the field on Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens in hopes of halting their losing skid.

Brady has thrown just one touchdown through the last two games. It's a shocking stat coming from the seven-time Super Bowl winning quarterback and an offense that is full of talent when healthy.

The Bucs offense is currently ranked 25th in the league with an average of points scored at just 17.7 per game. Brady has thrown just eight touchdown passes this season, but he is leading the league in passing yards with 1,942 through the first seven games.

However, if the Bucs are going to pull off a victory over the Ravens, it will need to be a team effort to do so. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is a dual-threat with his arm and his legs, making it difficult on opposing defenses.

Tom Brady and Lamar Jackson last faced off in 2019 when the Ravens defeated the New England Patriots 37-20.
