George Kittle took to WrestleMania during the offseason. The San Francisco 49ers tight end, who's a notable wrestling fan, made an appearance at Pat McAfee's match during WWE WrestleMania 39 on Saturday, taking out The Miz with a clothesline outside the ring.

After Kittle celebrated with McAfee, with the former punter also defeating The Miz with a punt kick to the face, he appeared on Pat's show to discuss what happened in WrestleMania 39:

“I might have triggered The Miz into hitting me, so I had an excuse to get in there, but he didn't say anything to me," Kittle said. "I just said "Miz, get in there, give the people what they want," and then he told me to shut up and don't say that to me, and he shoves me.
"I was like, 'What are we doing?' I thought this was a respectable business. I use the same tactics as I do for football. I visualized the move that I was gonna want to use, and then I wanted to do more, but when I heard his, like, lifeless body smack, I was like, 'I don't need to hit him anymore.'
"Other than that, he's gonna be OK. We'll be able to finish it. Yeah, I heard the wind leaving his body, his soul as exhaled and I was like, it’s over for him, he doesn't have any more left in the tank.”

George Kittle has been upset with the NFL over new primetime rules

The league recently modified the rules that relate to teams playing in the Thursday Night Football games during the season. Every team can now be slated for two Thursday games.

Kittle was not happy when the news broke. The 49ers tight end talked about the impact of playing twice on Thursday during a podcast appearance on "This Past Weekend with Theo Von":

"I'm in multiple car accidents every Sunday," Kittle said. "I've had games where I hyperextended my knee. That's gonna affect your season. That's going to be there for several weeks. And if you're lucky, you don't have to deal with that stuff. It's a little bit better, but you're still getting into these car accidents."

The league also wants to allow Thursday games to be flexed. The NFL requires 24 out of 32 owners to agree to allow Thursday games to be flexed to Sunday, while a Sunday game goes on three days before. During the NFL owners' annual meeting in Phoenix, only 22 were in favor of the rule change.
