"I recall a young Aaron Rodgers identifying that and saying, I’m never going to do that"- Greg Jennings is upset with Rodgers behaving like Brett Favre

For the first three years of his career, Aaron Rodgers served as a backup to former Packers quarterback Brett Favre. Few people expected Rodgers to develop into the player he is today, but he did.

However, things aren't going well for the reigning NFL MVP as his team is struggling massively. Rodgers himself has had a poor start to the season, and people are annoyed by the fact that he isn't taking much accountability for his poor performances and is throwing young players under the bus.

Former Packers receiver Greg Jennings recently claimed that Rodgers has turned into a similar player to Brett Favre. He highlighted that Rodgers isn't taking any accountability similar to what Favre did. Here's what he said:

“Brett, he was one of those guys, he never got… no one ever thought it was his fault. And at some point…. and we understood, like, Brett Favre, he’s the face of the NFL, blah, blah, blah, when I first came in."

Greg Jennings added,

“But it grows old. When you know that you’re making mistakes, are you even going to tell anybody that you’re making mistakes? Or are you going to allow everybody else to assume it’s just us? And you grow into those things.

He further talked about Rodgers and said,

"I recall a young Aaron Rodgers identifying that and saying, I’m never going to do that. I’m not gonna be that. And then you grow, you have success, and everybody starts to tell you how great you are, and everybody in the locker room are your greatest accountability."

Jennings does have a point here and throwing his teammates under the bus to avoid accountability will hurt the group.

Brett Favre is certainly among the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL and so is Aaron Rodgers. However, Rodgers wouldn't want to be seen as a similar player to Favre as he knows he can be a lot better towards his teammates.

Hopefully, the Green Bay Packers quarterback will be able to find a way to reconnect with his teammates and bring the season back on track.

Aaron Rodgers can shut down his critics in Week 10

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will face a tough test against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. Almost everyone is counting out the Packers against the Cowboys, and this provides a great opportunity for Rodgers to shut down his critics.

Throughout his career, Rodgers has done well against the Cowboys and would like to do the same this time. A win over the Cowboys would undoubtedly restore confidence in the Packers' locker room, and they could push for the playoffs.
