Carson Wentz was officially named the starting quarterback for the Washington Commanders in Week 17 of the 2022 NFL season against the Cleveland Browns. He will be making his first start since Week 6 against the Chicago Bears when he suffered an injury. With the way his current contract is constructed, they have the ability to cut him off from their roster without any dead cap money counting against them.
