Jahmyr Gibbs NFL Draft Projection: Where could Alabama RB land?

NFL Combine
Running back Jahmyr Gibbs of Alabama

Alabama Crimson Tide running back Jahmyr Gibbs is the latest member of Alabama's running back talent factory and looking forward to the late April NFL draft. Gibbs is a decent prospect at running back, and there's a high possibility that he would be selected at the tail end of the first round of the draft or, at worst, the second.

Jahmyr Gibbs is a very versatile running back adept at rushing and receiving the ball, ranking as one of the SEC's most impressive rushers. The Alabama Crimson Tide product will likely join notable Bama products Najee Harris, Josh Jacobs and Derrick Henry in the league.

An NFL franchise needing a decent and versatile running back could take a chance on Gibbs. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles would be solid landing spots for Gibbs heading into the 2023 NFL season.

How has Jahmyr Gibbs performed in 2023 NFL Combine?

Jahmyr Gibbs has yet to participate in the NFL Combine, and he will likely make an appearance on Sunday, (Mar. 5, 2023).

He will likely partake in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump and other events. The ball carrier is one of the faster-running backs in the Combine, so you can expect him to run a sub-40 time.

Gibbs can't produce any more game tape, but the 2023 NFL Combine is where he can impress scouts and executives in positional drills, interviews and, perhaps most importantly, the 40-yard dash. If he has a productive visit to Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium, he could vault himself higher in the draft.
