It seems as if Dan Snyder is one step closer to finalizing a sale of the Washington Commanders football team.

Reports surfaced on Wednesday morning that the owner is expected to sell the team in a couple of weeks in March after the conclusion of the Super Bowl and owners' meeting.

A year ago, Dan and his wife, Tanya Snyder, hired BoA (Bank of America) Securities to help them sell the NFL franchise. One frontrunner for the team as of right now is Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

While the Washington Commanders will have new ownership entering the 2023-2024 season, they will also have the responsibility of figuring out who their next quarterback will be.

The Washington-based franchise acquired Carson Wentz last off-season but with injuries and poor play, he will likely be a one-and-done for them. They played with backup Taylor Heinicke for most of the year, but the team doesn't view him as a franchise quarterback.

The team started rookie Sam Howell for the last game of the season, however, they will likely explore other options.
