The bad news for the Minnesota Vikings continues. Shortly after the team announced that rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy is out for the season following a knee injury, reports surfaced that wide receiver Jordan Addison suffered an injury in practice on Wednesday.
The injury appeared to be serious, as Addison was carted off the field. Addison was holding his leg on the ground and was assisted by two people before the cart came out and took him.
The severity of the injury is currently unknown, but it would be a major hit to the Vikings' team if it is a serious injury.

Jordan Addison had a very productive rookie season with Minnesota in 2023. He hauled in 70 receptions for 911 yards, and scored 10 touchdowns. He was great as the number two receiver, opposite of Justin Jefferson.
Who could the Minnesota Vikings sign to replace Jordan Addison if he's out for awhile?
As of right now, there are no details of Jordan Addison's injury. Considering that the cart came out, there is a chance that he could miss signifigant time.
Here are some free agent wide receivers the Minnesota Vikings could consider signing if Jordan Addison is out for awhile:
Michael Thomas has't been the productive wide recevier that fans once knew. He hasn't recorded 1,000 plus yards in a single-season since 2019. Injuries have gotten in the way of his production, but he had four-straight 1,000-yard seasons to open up his career.
Hunter Renfrow
Hunter Renfrow was selected for the Pro Bowl a few seasons ago in 2021, the same year, he had 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns. In the last two seasons, he's only combined for 61 receptions, 585 yards, and two receiving touchdowns.
Renfrow hasn't been as productive the last two seasons, but could have some gas left in the tank.
Corey Davis
Last season, Corey Davis didn't play in the NFL because he retired prior to the start of the season. In March, he applied for re-instatement and was released by the Jets, making him a free agent. In 2022, Davis had 32 receptions for 536 yards, and two touchdowns.
Davis could make a return this season, and the Vikings might want to take a look at him.
JuJu Smith-Schuster
JuJu Smith-Schuster recently became a free agent as the New England Patriots released him on August 9 after one season.
Smith-Schuster struggled in his lone season with New England, recording 29 receptions for 260 yards, and scoring just one touchdown.
The Vikings could sign him at a bargain if they explore that option.
