Justin Jefferson had one of the best seasons that a wide receiver has had in the history of the NFL. In 17 games this season, he has 128 catches for 1,809 yards and nine touchdowns.

Going into next season, the Minnesota Vikings will be eligible for a contract extension, and he deserves to get paid a handsome amount of money. Moreover, Jefferson has not ruled out the possibility of leaving the Vikings.

Justin Jefferson said this when asked about where his future lies in the NFL:

“I mean, I will be wherever I'm wanted. If they want me here, I'm here.”

After Jefferson's cryptic response, here's how social media reacted to it:

Justin Jefferson will likely be the top-three receiver in the National Football League for years to come. As a result, he might become the highest-paid wide receiver in the history of the league pretty soon.

The Minnesota Vikings will face stiff competition from other teams if they let Jefferson accept offers from other teams in free agency. They need to offer him a lucrative extension before he hits free agency, or he might go on to join some other team, which would be a disaster for the franchise.

Justin Jefferson will have a lot of suitors going forward

Jefferson will become an unrestricted free agent in 2025 but could hit free agency in 2024 if the Vikings don't franchise-tag him. Many teams will keep tabs on how his situation in Minnesota plays out and will not hesitate to jump on an opportunity if he becomes available.

So far in his career, he has 324 catches for 4,825 yards and has scored 26 touchdowns. He is going to get better in the years to come and will be a player to keep an eye on.

Davante Adams had signed a 5-year, $140 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, including a $19,250,000 signing bonus and a $65,670,000 guaranteed (Spotrac), and Jefferson would demand a contract along the same lines.

It will be interesting to see what the Vikings end up doing, as they will require a new quarterback when Kirk Cousins' tenure comes to an end.
