Marquise Brown's injury update: When will he return?

When Marquise Brown suffered a fractured foot in mid-October, the Arizona Cardinals suffered a severe setback. Fantasy owners and fans are understandably interested in learning when the wide receiver will make a comeback.

The Cardinals will want to ultimately combine Marquise Brown with DeAndre Hopkins on offense after he had a great start to the season for them.

After Brown left the game against the Seattle Seahawks with a foot injury in Week 6, the Cardinals' floundering offense lost some depth at wide receiver.

Brown had five receptions for 68 yards in the 19-9 defeat to the Seahawks but did not get the opportunity to get back into the game. He revealed to reporters after the game that the X-ray report was not encouraging.

After initial concerns that this would be the end of Brown's season, it was revealed that he would return this year. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said the injury was a "minor, non-surgical fracture" and the expected recuperation time was about six weeks. As Brown wrote on Instagram, "Back Soon," it increased the likelihood that he would return quickly.

Kliff Kingsbury, the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, stated on November 14 that Brown is "day-to-day." The Cardinals opened Brown's 21-day activation window on November 16, which increases the likelihood that he will be available for this Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Marquise Brown was put back on injured reserve last Wednesday. The wide receiver wasn't quite ready to play against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11. He will now aim for a potential return this week against the Chargers.

Marquise Brown's stats and fantasy prediction

The Arizona Cardinals acquired Marquise Brown through a trade when DeAndre Hopkins received a six-game suspension for a PED infraction this offseason. Brown proved to be a great addition before his injury. He caught 43 of his 64 targets for 485 yards and three touchdowns in his first six games.

Brown will likely be able to suit up this week, and it appears he will train before the game in Week 12. He's not a reliable option for fantasy players at the moment since he's just coming back from an injury. Hopkins is also playing, so Brown will lose targets, but the two might substantially boost each other's effectiveness altogether.
