The contract standoff saga between Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys came to an end after the star linebacker found a new home in Green Bay. Earlier in the offseason, Parsons demanded a big-money contract from the Cowboys. However, the negotiations stalled for weeks and eventually led nowhere.

In the meantime, the linebacker sat out of the Cowboys' training camps and all the offseason and preseason activities. The contract drama ended on Friday after the Cowboys traded Parsons to the Packers. Both parties agreed to a four-year contract worth $188,000,000, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league.

Parson uploaded a few photos from his visit to the Packers' facilities and locker room. He also added a picture of himself signing his $188 million contract. The star linebacker uploaded the post on his story and wrote the following message in the caption:

Micah Parsons admits to being "worried" during his contract standoff with the Cowboys

One of the first things Micah Parsons did after signing a blockbuster deal with the Packers was to address his contract standoff with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.

The star linebacker claimed that the team needed him on the field, and he was even worried about his future at one point. However, in the end, Parsons chose to get traded and was glad that the contract dispute was over.

"It's obviously not what I wanted," Parsons said. "I think, during my career, I've played through so many different obstacles and things like that. Like, every opportunity is a great opportunity. That's kind of how I look at it. I did not want to be in a position where I was missing opportunities.

"Not only to feed my family. Them guys wanted me on the field as bad as I wanted to be on the field. They look at me as (a) big brother, like, 'He needs to be out there, I know we know we can win with him, I know what he can do out there.' So, yeah, I was worried about that, but now that's resolved."

In exchange for Micah Parsons, the Cowboys got defensive tackle Kenny Clark and first-round picks for the 2026 and 2027 NFL drafts. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the star LB now that he is part of Green Bay.
