Micah Parsons looks to lure Ravens star to Cowboys with Super Bowl promise

Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys' Micah Parsons made a bold statement regarding his team's 2023 season.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is known for being vocal on social media. His confidence in his playing abilities as well as his team sometimes gets him backlash on Twitter. On Monday afternoon, the 23-year-old made a bold prediction about the Cowboys' 2023 season while replying to another NFL player.

Baltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell tweeted just before kickoff of Super Bowl LVII that he really wants to play in the big game next year. The Cowboys linebacker replied on Monday by telling Campbell that he needs to put a star on his helmet if he wants to do that.

Campbell tweeted this just hours after he announced on NFL Network that he would be returning to the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 for his 16th NFL season. In a reply to Campbell, Parsons clearly made a bold prediction that the Cowboys will be appearing in Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024.

Next season will be the final year of Campbell's contract with the Ravens. He had 5.5 sacks, 36 combined tackles and two forced fumbles for Baltimore in the 2022 season.

Considering the fact that the Cowboys haven't made an appearance in the NFC title game in over two decades, Parsons' prediction was rather over the top. But, still, a bold prediction considering the Cowboys haven't made an appearance in the NFC title game in over two decades.

Micah Parsons wants Cowboys to sign NFC East rival

While the Dallas Cowboys may not be signing Calais Campbell this offseason, Micah Parsons hopes that the team will sign Washington Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne.

While making an appearance on the Pro Football Talk Live show at Super Bowl LVII, he was asked what he would like the Cowboys to do this offseason. He immediately stated that he hopes they sign Daron Payne.

“I like Daron Payne a lot,” he said.

The 25-year-old Payne will be a free agent this offseason but the Commanders will likely want to retain him after a productive 2022. He had 11.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss and 64 combined tackles. While his defensive grade was just 58.4 in 2022, his grade when rushing the quarterback was 72.0.

However, with the Cowboys' salary cap issues, Payne may not fit into their budget. Moreover, the Commanders would likely do everything possible to make sure that Payne doesn't sign with their NFC East rivals.
