Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin filed a $100 million lawsuit against a woman who accused him of inappropriate behavior at the Dallas Marriott hotel. Due to the accusations against him, Irvin was pulled from Super Bowl coverage.

Irvin filed a lawsuit for defamation, but the hotel chain has yet to furnish the court with proof that would clear Irvin's name. Mike Florio criticized the hotel for withholding the surveillance footage and claimed that the lawsuit tilts in favor of the former Cowboys receiver.

Here's what Mike Florio said on Pro Football Talk:

"I always say this if somebody is wrongfully accused, I want to see them shout their innocence from the rooftops. I want to see them behave like someone who's been wrongfully accused and by filing that lawsuit immediately and aggressively trying to get the video surveillance from the hotel."

Florio continued:

"That's been the latest development. The lawyer is mad as hell. That was the quote to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News that Marriott won't give this video. Why won't you give the video?"

He added:

"At some point, people like us are gonna say if you're hiding this, you must know that the video undercuts the basis for the complaint that was made against Michael Irvin."

According to FOX4, Irvin recalled returning to the hotel after a night out. He stated that he took photographs with fans in the lobby, shook the woman's hand, and then proceeded to his room to sleep alone.

As a result, several have sided with Irvin and called for the hotel company to be sued.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the main attorney for former Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin voiced his anger on Tuesday over the lawsuit's impasse. According to him, the hotel company has failed to produce crucial proof that may clear his client's name.

Irvin's attorney in Dallas, Levi McCathern, who filed the case on Feb. 9 on his client's behalf, stated that Marriott did not produce any of the necessary records by Monday's deadline.

He stated that repeated attempts to obtain the security tape on Tuesday were unsuccessful. In addition, an attorney for Marriott did not respond to an email for comment on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see how things unfold from here, but as of now, the former Dallas Cowboys receiver is in a good position.
