NFL fans blast Broncos' apology for hiring ex-HC Nathaniel Hackett

Denver Broncos fans have blasted their team over the apology the team gave for hiring Hackett

If you’re a Denver Broncos fan, this season hasn’t been a good one. After an offseason that saw Nathaniel Hackett, a great offensive mind, and Russell Wilson join forces, expectations were high.

However, they haven't been met. In fact, nowhere near it. After a poor season that has seen Denver win just four games, including a 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the Denver front office decided to part ways with Hackett.

Nevertheless, Broncos fans are angry over the apology given out by Broncos owner Greg Penner after firing a rookie coach who was clearly in over his head. One fan has gone as far as to say that anyone who was hired by the trust should be fired.

"Fire John Elway, Joe Ellis, and everyone hired by the trust. You have to clean house from the top down to change the culture. Maybe hire Adam Peters. Someone who has an identity a build from the inside out identity."

Other Denver fans took to social media to express their anger and frustration at the current situation the franchise finds itself in.

It appears that all Denver fans have similar thoughts regarding the current situation the team finds itself in.

Where to for the Broncos now?

The only way is up, right? After a 4-11 season (at the time of writing with two games still remaining), the bar for improvement isn't exactly set too high. But as many have stated, the next head coaching appointment has to be the right one.

Easier said than done. The Denver front office thought Hackett was the right one to much contrast.

After trading away the team's future for the next few seasons, Denver can't even go to the draft to help Wilson, unless they move on some quality players in exchange for draft picks.

The entire season has been a poor one for all involved in the organization and this offseason promises to be one of the biggest in the franchise’s history. They need to get their next coaching appointment right as they are already behind the eight ball.
