The NFL may be on break, but that is not stopping it from making headlines.

At Saturday's (US time) WrestleMania 39 Night 1, former Colts punter Pat McAfee scintillated the crowd with an impromptu match against The Miz. While it may have been short, it was nothing short of spectacular, even involving 49ers tight end George Kittle.

WrestleMania 39: Pat McAfee surprises fans with WWE return, stuns The Miz

WrestleMania 39 marked Pat McAfee's second WWE appearance of the year, after a commentary gig at the Royal Rumble. He had previously gone on leave to join ESPN's college football coverage.

The Miz had issued an open challenge to open the segment, and that was when McAfee showed up to accept. Snoop Dogg, who was also present during the segment, booked the match to the Miz's chagrin.

Halfway through, the Miz rolled to the outside, and saw 49ers tight end George Kittle, who was sitting in the audience. Miz shoved Kittle, who responded by hopping over the barricade and clotheslining him.

McAfee capitalized with a moonsault, before rolling his opponent back in and punting him foe the three count.
