Kansas Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes announced on social media that his wife Brittany Mahomes had given birth to their second child on Monday. The quarterback shared a photo of his newborn baby resting on a custom blanket that had Mahomes printed on it, along with a diamond chain that read "Bronze". He captioned the post:

"Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III 🤴🏽11/28/22 7lbs 8oz 🤍"

Mahomes, who already has a daughter with his wife Brittany named Sterling Skye, became a father for the second time a day after he led the Kansas City Chiefs to a comfortable 26-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams at Arrowhead Stadium. Mahomes threw for 320 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 36 yards. The win helped the Chiefs remain the #1 seed in the AFC.

During the game, fans speculated that Brittany Mahomes' silence on social media suggested that she had gone into labor. But she quickly quashed the reports herself with a tweet:

Fans on social media congratulated Mahomes on becoming a father for the second time but also decided to have some fun with his post announcing the birth of his son Patrick 'Bronze' Mahomes. Here are some of the best tweets:

Will Patrick Mahomes play on Sunday after the birth of his son, Bronze Mahomes?

The Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Paul Brown Stadium to take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. This will be the first meeting between the two sides since the AFC Championship Game earlier this year.

The Chiefs will be gunning for revenge and to maintain their status as the #1 seed in the AFC. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Patrick Mahomes will also be with the team and make the trip to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.

The Chiefs superstar will likely take a couple of days off from practice and return on Thursday. The Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins are only one game behind Kansas City in the race to finish as the #1 seed in the AFC. Any slip-up could relegate the Chiefs to #3 in the AFC playoff seedings. Patrick Mahomes won't miss the flight to Cincinnati and will suit up for the game on Sunday when the Chiefs take on the Bengals.
