The Dallas Cowboys heavily courted Odell Beckham Jr. last season. With a need to add to their receiver room, many thought the Cowboys doing a deal for OBJ was a mere formality.

However, with the receiver's inability to work out a deal with Jerry Jones and the Dallas staff, an agreement wasn't reached. But it might be closer now.

The Cowboys have restructured two deals involving Dak Prescott and Zack Martin, both of which should come as no surprise. But the move has created $30 million in cap room for Dallas, leading fans to think that Beckham Jr. is now on his way to Frisco.

"Here comes @obj."

This wasn't the only tweet that had Cowboys fans thinking that the former New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams receiver is on his way to link up with Prescott and the Dallas offense.

So, it appears that many fans think the $30 million gained in restructuring the deals for Prescott and Martin means that Beckham Jr. is coming to Dallas.

However, in truth, the Cowboys had to be under the salary cap before the new league starts on March 15. These moves were always likely to happen regardless of whether the Cowboys wanted to go after Odell Beckham Jr. or not.

However, now that they have the room, speculation is bound to ramp up about OBJ to the Cowboys.

The reality is, signing the free agent receiver should be relatively straightforward, but ultimately it will come down to money...and exactly how much OBJ wants.

Initially, it was thought that he would demand around $20 million a season to sign with a new team. We don't know if that is too rich for Jerry Jones' blood now (it wasn't last season), but the need for a receiver is there and Odell Beckham Jr. is there for the taking.

Seeing as Beckham Jr. is a free agent, the Cowboys will not have to give up any draft capital to sign him, unlike DeAndre Hopkins.

So, the contract restructure got the Cowboys some much-needed salary cap breathing room before even talking about Tyron Smith or Ezekiel Elliott's contracts. Still, the feeling around the Dallas fanbase is that Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cowboys is as good as done.
