The New York Jets are expected to acquire quarterback Aaron Rodgers this off-season and he's reportedly given them a wishlist of players he'd like them to acquire.

Per multiple reports, Rodgers has lobbied for the Jets to sign Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Odell Beckham Jr., and Marcedes Lewis.

While many teams are interested in free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., the New York Jets are indeed one of those teams. Per ESPN reporter Dianna Russini, the Jets have remained in touch with Beckham Jr.

Thus far, the Jets have signed one of the players on Rodgers' wishlist. The Jets signed former Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard to a four-year $44 million deal

To no surprise, the team is also interested in Lewis and Cobb. The Jets have $15 million in cap space right now, which does not include the Lazard deal.

They are expected to release wide receiver Corey Davis, freeing up $11 million in cap space and allowing them to restructure contracts for players such as C.J. Mosely, Carl Lawson, and Jordan Whitehead.

Rodgers revealed on Wednesday, March 15 on the Pat McAfee Show that his intention is to play for the Jets and that the Packers are holding things up with the compensation that they're looking to get in return.

Rodgers said:

"Since Friday I made it clear my intention was to play and my intention was to play for the New York Jets and I haven't been holding anything up. It's the compensation that the Packers are trying to get (sorted)."

Once the Jets acquire Rodgers, they'll be one of the favorites to win the AFC next year.

The Jets finished the season 7-10 last year but lost their final six games with poor offensive play. The team will also get running back Breece Hall, whose rookie season was cut short due to a torn ACL and meniscus.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award and will be on the opposite side of Lazard this season,

The Jets will have a much better offense with Rodgers and a much better chance at winning a Super Bowl with him.
