As the NFL calendar turns to December, the haves prepare for a playoff push while the have-nots prepare to part ways with their team. In his Football Morning in America column piece, NFL analyst Peter King listed several predictions, including an expectation of a major shakeup for Denver Broncos.

While he claimed the team may keep head coach Nathaniel Hackett around to finish out 2022, he expects him to be relieved after the season.

“I think I will not be surprised if Nathaniel Hackett makes it to the end of this season as Denver coach. But I will be extremely surprised if he isn’t one-and-done.”

After 11 games, the head coach is 3-8 in his inaugural season with the team. He was paired with Russell Wilson in an attempt to resurrect the struggling franchise, but thus far, it simply hasn't happened. After a 2-1 start, the team has gone 1-7 in their last eight games.

The Denver Broncos head coach didn't become a head coach candidate overnight. His ascension into the upper coaching ranks occurred in 2013, when he was brought on board the Buffalo Bills as an offensive coordinator.

After two years with the team, he joined the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he made his first major impact in the NFL.

He was in charge of the offense when quarterback Blake Bortles led an unlikely run to the AFC Championship game in 2017. After two more years with the franchise, he joined the Green Bay Packers as an offensive coordinator for Aaron Rodgers.

On his watch, the Packers reached three consecutive 13-win seasons. After a third such season, he did enough to get his first head coaching gig, landing with the Denver Broncos. Will it be his last?
