Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is usually in the headlines for one reason or another. The 38-year-old is enduring a difficult season with the Packers as they look certain to miss the playoffs.

While much has been made of his on-field issues, there have been just as many off-field ones too. His family and relationships have been centre-stage for media outlets and none more so in the past than his time with Olivia Munn.

The pair dated for a while and in an interview with Conan O'Brien back in 2015, Munn revealed that upon meeting Rodgers in 2014, she had no idea who he was.

"I said, 'So what do you do?' And he said, 'Oh I play football'," Munn remembered. "'Cool. What college?' And he's like, 'Oh, no. I play professional'. And I was like, 'Cool, what position?' 'Quarterback.' 'Cool.'"

Munn added:

"All I saw was that he was like really attractive. I didn't really care what he did. I was like you are such a big man!"

For Rodgers, it must have been a breath of fresh air to talk to someone who had no idea who he was. For most professional athletes, and particularly ones in the NFL, the simple things that people take for granted every single day can be hard.

However, Munn, back in 2014, had no idea that the man she was talking to was one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

Why did Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers break up?

The pair dated for a couple of years and there were rumors that the duo were prepared to get engaged, although that never materialized. From 2014 through to 2017, from the outside at least, it looked like a match made in heaven.

But we know it wasn't.

While we do not know the exact reason for the pair's split, many have come to the conclusion that Rodgers' family played a big part in it.

She was seen as an outsider to his family by many. Munn stated in an interview, in 2018 with Andy Cohen, that it was important for the quarterback to mend fences in his family life.

"I just think it's really important to try to mend things in a family"

The breakup wasn't nasty by any means and by all reports, the pair have remained on good terms.
