Patrick Mahomes putting KC Current investment to work by refining daughter Sterling's soccer skills

Athleticism seems to run in the Mahomes family. While Patrick Mahomes continues to play as one of the NFL's star quarterbacks, his daughter might catch up soon. Like his wife Brittany Mahomes, Sterling seems to have picked up a liking for soccer.

The soon-to-be two-year-old often features on her mother's Instagram, mostly posing with her parents. Brittany has been sharing clips of Sterling working out, along with snaps of them supporting Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

This time, it was the 27-year-old QB raving about his daughter's talent. The NFL star was on the The Rich Eisen Show, where he also spoke about his life off the field.

“Life’s good, man. Obviously we’re in season, we’re rolling around. I got the little one at home now. She’s running around, playing sports, kicking soccer balls, doing stuff like that. And then I have a little one on the way. So life’s pretty good.”

Of course, Patrick Mahomes didn't fail to mention his wife Brittany, who also played soccer. He seemed impressed with Sterling's game, wondering if she would eventually grow up and become the next big star.

“It was really cool to see that we didn’t even really teach Sterling how to kick a soccer ball. She just kind of saw one and went up and started kicking it."

Apparently, Sterling picked up the habit by watching everyone play.

"It’s definitely really cool to see. Me, I don’t want to force her to be an athlete, but to see those tendencies early is definitely cool.”

The couple is expecting a second baby, due sometime midseason. Both Brittany and Mahomes have made sure to update fans online, even sharing clips from their gender reveal celebration.

Along with her fitness training, Brittany Mahomes also owns the Kansas soccer team, KC Current. According to Mahomes, they often attend their games, or even their practices.

It is only natural for little Sterling to pick up the game, constantly surrounded by either soccer or NFL players.

Earlier this month, Brittany and Sterling were there to break ground at the new KC Current Stadium. A first for a women's soccer team (whole stadium dedicated to them), everyone is looking forward to completing this milestone.

Brittany thanked Kansas City for the opportunity. She seemed delighted to share the moment with her daughter.

Sterling was also seen playing around on the grounds, with Brittany determined to start her off early. The soccer team ended up sharing the same photos, excited about the little star.

As Brittany's association with KC Current increases, one just hopes for more updates from Patrick Mahomes and Brittany.
