In a Veterans Day tribute, Fox NFL analyst Rob Gronkowski will leap from an MH-60s helicopter into the Pacific Ocean during the show's live broadcast from Naval Base San Diego Sunday, Nov. 10. The stunt marks another chapter in Fox's long-standing tradition of honoring U.S. military personnel through the network's pregame programming.

The two-hour special, airing at 11:00 a.m. ET, will showcase the former NFL tight end's spirit as he takes on his most adventurous challenge yet. The show's entire cast, including Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson, and Jay Glazer, will join Gronkowski at the naval base for this tribute to service members.

"This is the time of year our entire network collectively looks forward to honoring and saluting our troops here at home and stationed across the world," said Eric Shanks, Chief Executive Officer & Executive Producer, of FOX Sports.

The network's choice of Naval Base San Diego adds a fresh dimension to their yearly military salute, continuing a 31-season legacy of military appreciation.

For Gronkowski, this adventure follows his pattern of exciting live television moments. Just last year, he executed a skydiving feat from 11,000 feet during Fox's Veterans Day special at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, punctuating his landing with his signature "Gronk spike" and an enthusiastic "Touchdown!"

The four-time Super Bowl champion has built quite a reputation for stunts on air. Beyond his military tribute jumps, he's made headlines with FanDuel's "Kick of Destiny" segments during the last two Super Bowls, attempting field goals aiming to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Earlier this season, he even played along when the show pranked him by having him analyze a non-existent player's injury return.

Sunday's helicopter jump highlights a packed schedule at Naval Base San Diego. The broadcast will feature additional segments including a Tom Rinaldi story about a former Navy SEAL now working in the NFL, plus a visit to the World-Famous I-Bar, which movie fans might recognize from "Top Gun: Maverick." The entire Fox cast will also participate in Navy SEALs training as part of their base experience.

Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander of Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, emphasized the significance of the event.

"Today, we celebrate our nation's veterans for their service and stewardship of the next generation of warfighters. We honor our heroes and their families during the FOX Sports Veterans Day Show at Naval Base San Diego with a long, proud tradition as home to the U.S. Navy."

The special broadcast precedes an action-packed NFL Week 10 slate featuring five early games on Fox, including a matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sunday's program continues Fox's track record of military tributes, which includes broadcasts from locations like Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar (2022), the U.S. Naval Academy-Annapolis (2021), and even Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan (2009).
