Aaron Rodgers has spent the first 18 seasons of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers, but could there be a change of scenery?

There have been multiple reports that have the four-time NFL MVP on the move via trade this offseason. One destination that has been linked to Rodgers is the New York Jets.

Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner wants the Packers star on the team, making it known on his YouTube channel. Gardner noted that Rodgers could be the missing piece to win the Lombardi Trophy. Gardner said:

“I'm not playing no more, you see it in my face, I need you to lock in, I need you to come here so we can win the Super Bowl, like don't even play no more, I mean you've been playing a little too.”

In the video, last season's Defensive Rookie of the Year burned the Cheesehead he wore after the Jets defeated the Packers at Lambeau Field. The 22-year-old cornerback has used Twitter to make his case for Aaron Rodgers to come to the Jets.

The fourth overall pick in the 2022 draft stood out in his rookie season as led the NFL with 20 passes defended. He also had 75 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two interceptions.

Gardner has already established himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the league and hopes for the addition of the best quarterbacks in league history.

Will Sauce Gardner get his wish in having Aaron Rodgers as a teammate?

The Packers have given the Super Bowl-winning quarterback permission to speak to the Jets in hopes of a deal materializing. Last March, Green Bay gave their franchise signal-caller a three-year, $150.6 million contract extension. Rodgers will stand to make almost $60 million in the upcoming season.

The Jets are in the market for a quarterback as Zach Wilson, their top pick in the 2021 draft, may not be the answer under center. It is no surprise that Gardner is leading the recruiting charge for Aaron Rodgers as the team could truly be a quarterback away from being a playoff team.

We will see if Rodgers will be wearing another green jersey this season as rumors continue to swirl.
