The Arizona Cardinals' season is just about done. On Monday Night Football, Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers put a couple of nails in Arizona's 2022 season.

With the Cardinals now sitting at 4-7 and two games behind the division-leading Seattle Seahawks, it looks like the season is over with a handful of games left to play. Barring a spectacular revival, of course.

The 38-10 demolition of the Cardinals will be a tough one to take for fans as there are still eight games to go in the season, but it is clear Arizona will not be in the playoff hunt. One Arizona fan has already declared that the "season is over" in Glendale.

"Season is over. By far the most disappointing season since being in AZ."

Other Cardinals fans didn't take long to give their thoughts on how the season panned out, with many not impressed with Kilff Kingsbury's team.

It is clear that the Arizona fans did not hold back their assessment of the team's season. Coming into 2022, the Cardinals were expected to be one of the teams to beat in the NFC. After just 11 games, however, it looks like the season is over.

Without Kyler Murray, it was always going to be a tall order for Arizona to win its fifth game of the year. One could argue that, even with Murray, it was going to be hard.

But Kingsbury's team barely gave a yelp. The 38-10 scoreline shows what a beatdown this was. What makes it even worse it that it was a divisional game.

The 49ers had more total yards, were better on third-down conversions (6/11 to 8/16) and were extremely efficient in both the passing and run game. Garoppolo threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns as he completed 20 of his 29 passes and had no interceptions.

Arizona had no answer to the running game either. Deebo Samuel (three carries, 37 yards, one TD) and Elijah Mitchell (nine carries for 59 yards) and Christian McCaffrey (seven carries, 39 yards) all took turns slicing the Arizona defense.

Tight end George Kittle (four rec, 84 yards, two TDs), Samuel (seven rec, 57 yards), McCaffrey (seven rec, 67 yards) again were prominent while Brandon Aiyuk caught two touchdown passes.

For Arizona, it makes for grim reading, aside from Greg Dortch (nine rec, 103 yards) and DeAndre Hopkins (9 rec, 91 yards), as they slumped to a seventh loss of the season.
