Tempers were running high as the Orlando Guardians lost to the San Antonio Brahmas, and quarterback Deondre Francois showed his frustration with his teammates on one play.

With the Guardians down 27-6 and Francois in the huddle calling a play, the offensive lineman suggested a change in play. However, quarterback Francois was in no mood to listen. He yelled:

"Shut the f*ck up!"

A look at Deondre Francois' career

Deondre Francois went to college in Florida and played for the Florida State Seminoles. He became the starter in 2016 and led them to a 10-3 record, which saw him being named the ACC Rookie of the Year.

However, bad luck struck, as he was injured in the first game of 2017 and missed the entire season. He returned as a starter in 2018, but off-field issues clouded his season as a domestic dispute between him and his girlfriend went public. He transferred to Hampton University in 2019.

In 2021, he joined Fan Controlled Football for the Glacier Boyz. He also played for the Wild Aces that season but rejoined the Glacier Boyz and led them to the People's Championship. He also played in The Spring League for the Blues that year. He joined the Bored Ape Football Club in 2022, back with Fan Controlled Football, and was chosen as one of the quarterbacks for a potential position in the XFL.

That materialized this season, as he was selected by the Orlando Guardians. However, the Orlando offense has not got going under Francois as they have a 0-2 record after the first two games of the XFL season. They have scored 12 points in both games. In a league where teams can score nine points with one offensive touchdown and conversion, that's a poor return.

So, it’s no wonder Francois was frustrated. It's unclear whether his outburst served as a catalyst, but the Guardians outscored the Brahmas 6-3 over the rest of the game.

It was too little too late, though, and they ended up with an 18-point loss. Having allowed at least 30 points in both games, the Guardians have a lot of work to do on both offense and defense.
