Taylor Lewan reveals Donald Trump's cold reaction after disastrous Cardinals ceremonial pitch

On Thursday, ex-NFL star Taylor Lewan attended the MLB game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Toronto Blue Jays. The retired three-time Pro Bowler threw the ceremonial first pitch at Busch Stadium, but it turned out to be an embarrassing one.

Taylor Lewan threw the ball miles wide of the home plate during the ceremonial first pitch. The ex-NFL linebacker threw his cap on the ground and started doing pushups as a form of punishment for his poor pitch.

Another person who wasn't impressed with Taylor Lewan's pitch was POTUS Donald Trump. On the Bussin' with the Boys podcast, the ex-NFL star opened up about his meeting with Trump and the President's reaction to Lewan's embarrassing ceremonial pitch.

"I got, 'Oh Mr. President, remember that podcast?' He (Donald Trump) goes, 'You remember that throw?'" Lewan said. "And kept going. D.J.T looked at me, scoffed. He goes, 'You call yourself an American? Thought you guys were a big strong man. Looks like you are a little boy. Looks like you a little boy that can't throw a ball, are you?'

"And then he went like this. ... 'You're not good enough.' And he walked away. ... That's what my life is now boys. So while you guys lay your heads on the pillow at night. Remember, at least you're not me. ... because I'm in hell."

While he may not be a great pitcher, Taylor Lewan had a decent nine-season stint in the NFL as a linebacker. He played his entire career with the Tennessee Titans after being drafted in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft.

Taylor Lewan played 105 games, starting 100, in Steel City. He recorded 5,898 offensive snaps before retiring in February 2023 following a season-ending knee injury.

After his disappointing pitch, Taylor Lewan shared a post regarding the pitch as he talked about the experience.

"Currently at the @Cardinals game, and there's something I need to get ahead of. A video will be surfacing of me throwing a pitch from the mound. Let's just say. ... the haters are going to have an absolute field day."

Lewan shared another tweet asking for a chance at redemption.

"This is the worst day of my athletic career, and that includes the Chandler Jones game."

To rub salt in the wounds, Lewan, who was there to support the Cardinals, saw them lose 5-2 at home against the Blue Jays.
