Tom Brady, like almost every quarterback before him, has memories of watching the Super Bowl as a kid and wanting to win the big game. Today's youth watch Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts craft their legacy on national television. For No. 12, it was watching Joe Montana.

Speaking on the "Let's Go!" podcast, the quarterback recalled what it was like to watch the game on Super Bowl Sunday before he became the star of the show. Here's how he put it:

"Super Bowl Sunday's in two weeks. You know, that's the time in America. We're there. We are together where you call your best friends up and you say, 'Hey, let's get together for these four or five hours' and it's a tradition that's unbelievable and I was banging pots and pans in the Bay Area watching Joe Montana, Steve Young."

Will Tom Brady play in another Super Bowl?

He continued, expressing gratitude for having the experience:

"I was at every frickin' parade. There's so much joy and so much gratitude for those experiences. That's what it was for me growing up."

Of course, the timing of the comments comes as the quarterback weighs his future. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback came into the season knowing that it could be his last. While retirement appears to be on the table, pundits are equally convinced that a return to the league is in order. If he returns, many have said, the quarterback won't be playing for the Buccaneers.

The two biggest teams that seemingly could end up with the quarterback are the San Francisco 49ers and the Las Vegas Raiders. The 49ers have three arguably starting-quality quarterbacks that are all dealing with injuries. That said, many believe that the nearly recovered Jimmy Garoppolo is on his way out.

With Brock Purdy facing a potential six-month recovery, many believe the team is less inclined to trust him for an entire season. Nearly untested Trey Lance is also recovering from a season-ending injury.

As for the Raiders, Derek Carr is expected to soon be officially out of the picture, paving the way for a new name. Brady has played with head coach Josh McDaniels for the New England Patriots. Additionally, with Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller in the squad, many believe the quarterback to be a source of interest for the team.

Will Tom Brady end up with the 49ers, Raiders, or on another path in 2023?
