Tom Brady has been known to yell at teammates on the sidelines and perhaps in the locker room. However, he has always refrained from mentioning anyone in the media or in any postgame situation. He has always elected to deal with issues internally rather than publicly call anyone out for their miscues.

That's been his philosophy as a player, but it might not be as a broadcaster, the job he's set to embark on once he retires. Fox reportedly agreed to give him $375 million over 10 years to join their team.

On the Let's Go! podcast, Brady mentioned not calling players out publicly and sometimes not even privately:

“Obviously as a player I have to pick my spots in the locker room. Because there’s frustrations you have as a player. I never really do it through the media, I just go to the players or the coach or the person who could actually solve the problem.”

He continued, adding that he'll probably be more ruthless as a broadcaster:

“I feel like there’s probably more Johnny Miller in me. When I used to watch him on golf telecasts he was just scathing sometimes. ‘That guy choked under pressure’ or whatever. That’s actually how I ended up seeing the game a lot now. Not that I want to be negative, but I do want to point [things] out.”

Look for Tom Brady to be brutally honest on television whenever he does join the FOX broadcasting crew.

When will Tom Brady retire and become a broadcaster?

The quarterback initially retired this offseason and his future was very much a topic of some debate. That ultimately didn't happen because he returned to the league after 40 days.

Many initially expected Tom Brady to retire after this season, given the personal and on-field struggles he has experienced. However, many around the league don't believe this is his final year. They believe he doesn't act like a player who's about to walk away.

For Fox, that means they'll just have to wait another year or more before they can put Brady to work.

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers standing at 5-5 and atop the NFC South, there is a lot still to play for. After a slow start and endless criticism, Tom Brady could once again silence all of his doubters and win it all against the odds. It will be interesting to see if he can do it in the coming months.
