To many, Tom Brady seems like an enigma that exists in a realm different from our own. We cannot imagine Brady not being in the NFL. We all remember how seismic it felt when he announced his retirement at the end of last season. The fact that he unretired numbed our senses as to how the NFL would be without him.

For his Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates, that is a conversation that they have to live with every day. With Brady missing, they are aware that in such a scenario, each of them will have to take on greater roles. Brady has been granted veteran dispensation this season due to his age and personal issues.

Buccaneers nose tackle Vita Vea spoke to Richard Sherman on the Richard Sherman Podcast. The player explained how some of the team members have met and discussed a future without Brady.

He said:

"We sat down and met. We met on our own to figure out, you know, what was going on with us as a group, you know? We figured out that obviously this is not the same team that we had in previous years. We got a couple of new pieces in here, you know - got big roles to play."

Has Tom Brady made any new retirement plans?

It seems counter-intuitive to talk about Brady's retirement plans right after he tore up his own and returned to the NFL in the space of a month in March.

But given what we know about his declining performances this season, it is a question that may be reasonably asked. While his performances could always improve (he is Tom Brady after all), he is also contending with his personal life going astray.

As per reports, the main reason for the strain on his marriage is because he was not consistent in staying retired. His wife, Gisele Bundchen, has hinted that she has been the one sacrificing for their family all these years. Now, she was looking forward to her own objectives that she had put on hold because of her husband's career.

If his on-field performances and off-field issues do not get resolved, one could conceivably see Tom Brady choosing to retire again at the end of this season. This in light of how his unretirement is certainly not going as planned at the moment.
