Brett Favre is known to many as a great quarterback while in the NFL, but he has also done some rather odd things off the field. One of them being the now-infamous texting scandal involving a woman by the name of Jenn Sterger.

The incident happened back when Favre was the quarterback for the New York Jets. Sterger alleged that he sent her explicit images. Sterger was a game-day host for the Jets in 2008 when the incident happened and had previously been a model for Playboy and Maxim.

Her name got dragged through the mud as the 'Favre girl' but a decade after the incident, she spoke with For The Win's Nina Mandell. In the interview, she said that she had never even met Favre in person before.

"A lot of people don't realize I've never met Brett Favre. I don't know him. I've never met him personally, never shaken his hand, never said hello, never introduced myself. So to this day, a lot of people don't realize I was cyber-bullied. I wasn't his mistress, I wasn't his girlfriend, we had no physical interaction at all, and I think that that's something, to this day, that still shocks people."

An investigation into what happened then followed and Favre was fined $50,000 after he failed to cooperate with the NFL's investigation. The league couldn't determine if the quarterback had indeed sent explicit images to Sterger.

After over a decade since the infamous scandal, Sterger still can't escape the title of being the 'Favre girl'. This is despite her never having met the Hall of Fame quarterback.

The Hall of Fame quarterback has had a troubled time since leaving the NFL, with the biggest controversy still playing out.

It is reported that Favre pocketed $1.1 million to do motivational speeches in 2017 and 2018. It is alleged that the money Favre got was from the welfare fund to help those who are less fortunate.

The whole situation is not a good look and at the time of writing, they are just allegations and the matter is still going through the courts. So, between the Sterger scandal and now the welfare fund scandal, off the field, Brett Favre isn't having the best time.
