NFL Fantasy Football Week 7: Tight end rankings

Las Vegas Raiders v Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

Tight end is one of the trickiest positions to navigate during each Fantasy Football season. The 2022 NFL season has only two truly elite tight ends, followed by a handful of reliable options and a ton of other risky players in the position.

Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews stand above the rest in a class of their own. Each of them averages more than 19 PPR Fantasy Football points per game. Not only are they the top two tight ends available, but they're two of the best overall players to own for their consistently elite weekly output.

Following the two elites, there is a six-point drop in fantasy points per game before reaching the next tier of tight ends. Zach Ertz, T.J. Hockenson, and Taysom Hill each average around 13 PPR fantasy points per game. Dallas Goedert is the only other tight end averaging at least 11 PPR fantasy points per game.

The lack of elite options in the position makes it extremely important to pay attention to matchups. This will help Fantasy Football teams optimize their lineups. This can be further complicated by the bye weeks, which include the Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, and Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7. This means Goedert will be unavailable this week, along with Dawson Knox, Tyler Higbee, and Irv Smith Jr.

Any tight end on a bye week will require a replacement. Fantasy teams who regularly stream tight ends are always seeking the best available options. The following rankings could potentially help any fantasy looking to add a player in the position for Week 7.
