NFC Power Rankings: Teams that need to do better

NFC teams ranked #12-#9 in the Week 13 Power Rankings.

#12 - Carolina Panthers (5-7)

Last week: #10

Next Week: BYE

The Carolina Panthers continue to be one of the most inconsistent teams this season after suffering consecutive losses. They have fluctuated up and down the Power Rankings all season long.

The Panthers have lost both games since Cam Newton's return as the starting quarterback. They also received terrible news ahead of Week 13 with Christian McCaffrey being placed on injured reserve for the rest of the 2021 NFL season.

#11 - Philadelphia Eagles (5-7)

Last week: #9

Next Week: vs. New York Jets

Just when the Philadelphia Eagles looked like they were gaining momentum and moving up the Power Rankings, they played one of their worst games of the season in a loss to the New York Giants. Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw three interceptions.

The Eagles will get an opportunity to rebound when they play the other New York team, the Jets. They still have a good chance to make a run at the playoffs, so they don't want to lose ground against an inferior opponent.

#10 - New York Giants (4-7)

Last week: #13

Next Week: vs. Miami Dolphins

The New York Giants didn't play a great game against the Eagles last week, but they did enough to win and move up the Power Rankings. They moved into the top ten in the NFC for the first time this year.

The Giants will look to win back-to-back games for the first time all season in Week 13. It won't be easy when they take on the surging Miami Dolphins, who have won four games in a row.

#9 - Atlanta Falcons (5-6)

Last week: #11

Next Week: vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Atlanta Falcons are another inconsistent team that have fluctuated up and down the Power Rankings. They ranked as high as seven and as low as 14 in the NFC Power Rankings this year.

The Falcons are currently in a four-way tie for the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC. They will try to keep pace in a tough Week 13 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
