According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, at around 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 27 2022, officers were informed about a medical emergency on an American Airlines flight. This was regarding former LA Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr. and the flight attendants were concerned as Beckham did not respond when they asked him to fasten his seat belt.
The flight crew was concerned as OBJ was coming in and out of consciousness prior to the departure. They called the police and fire rescue as they thought Bechkham was seriously ill, and his condition might worsen later in the expected five-hour flight.
After the officers arrived, Beckham was asked to exit the plane several times by the flight crew but he refused. The aircraft was later deplaned and the officers escorted Beckham to a non-secure area where he made other arrangements for his journey.

OBJ Plane Incident: Updated footage
Recent bodycam footage from a Miami-Dade police officer has been released by WPLG Local 10. In the video, it can be seen that Beckham was awoken from a deep sleep by the police personnel who boarded the flight.
Odell Beckham Jr. was asked a few questions by them to see if he was responding or not. The authorities were satisfied with his answers and didn't see any solid grounds to remove him from the flight.
However, they left the decision up to the flight attendants, who were adamant on their decision not to let Beckham board the flight.
One of the passengers seemed to have spoken to Odell Beckham Jr. after everyone was instructed to deplane, and the NFL star responded angrily. He said:
“That shit don’t mean nothing to me. … You gonna wait 40 minutes and I’mma be on a private plane home.”
